Hammonton man gets 11 years in meth case

  • News

A Hammonton man was sentenced to 11 years in prison after admitted to first-degree possession with intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine.

Jason Cintron, 39, was arrested in June 2019, after he was seen in an alleged drug deal inside his parked vehicle.

But police already had been targeting Cintron, and had arrived at his home Jamestown Boulevard with warrants to search it, a storage unit in Egg Harbor City and his Ford F-150.

Those warrants resulted in the recovery of more than a pound of crystal meth, about 276½ grams of packaged heroin, 57.4 grams of raw heroin/fentanyl, a handgun magazine loaded with hollow-point bullets and $459.

Jovani Rodriguez, who was in the vehicle with Cintron at the time of his arrest, remains jailed. The Galloway Township man fled and injured a detective during a struggle, police said at the time.
