EHT man charged in Absecon shooting that struck vehicle

  • News

An Egg Harbor Township man already in jail is now charged with a shooting that struck a vehicle in January.

Officers responded to the area of Absecon Boulevard and Delilah Road just after 7:30 p.m. Jan. 10 for a shooting.

An occupied vehicle was struck by gunfire, police said at the time. But no details about the shooting or what may have led to it were released.

Trasaan Jackson, 33, is charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses in the case.

Jackson — whose first name is listed as Trassan in the jail — has been jailed since April on charges that include terroristic threats from March out of the township.

It appears he was arrested on that outstanding warrant April 4, and has been in the Atlantic County Justice Facility since.

He was scheduled to have a detention hearing on the new charges Thursday, but that is now scheduled for Friday, BreakingAC has learned.
