Two Philadelphia men were arrested on drug charges during surveillance in Atlantic City over the weekend.
Detectives Christopher Dodson and Alberto Valles were in the area of Trenton and Crossan avenues in response to resident complaints about drug activity, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
They stopped Kareem Wiley who was driving with a suspended licenses, at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the report. He had been previously arrested July 6.
Wiley and his passenger, Taquan Montgomery, were removed from the vehicle and K-9 Officer Michael Braxton was called in.
Braxton's partner, Ryker, indicated there were narcotics in the vehicle, Fair said.
Detectives then found 56 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia used in narcotics distribution, including a scale, rubber bands, baggies and a razor blade, according to the report.
Both were charged with multiple drug offenses.
Wiley, 21, was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Montgomery, 28, was released on a summons.
