Three people were arrested and two guns recovered after Atlantic City detectives witnessed a drug deal, police said.
Detectives Alberto Valles and Christopher Dodson and Officers Brandon Bower and William Harned were patrolling the city's Bungalow Park when they saw Xavier Leon Jr. conduct a drug deal with Joseph Hill inside a vehicle in the 700 block of Wabash Avenue just before 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to the report.
The officers stopped Leon after, and found him with single bag of marijuana and a loaded handgun in a satchel, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Leon, 20, of Atlantic City, was arrested and charged with drug and gun offenses.
The officers spoke with Hill and Shabria Cooper-Carter, who was also in the vehicle, according to the report.
Both were arrested after officers found 48 grams of packaged marijuana throughout the front area of the vehicle and a handgun, Fair said.
Hill, 24, of Atlantic City, and Cooper-Carter, 24, of Wilmington, Dela., were arrested and charged with drug and gun offenses.
All three were taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
