A kitten tried to avoid the police Saturday. But the officers finally caught the fugitive feline.
Officers responded to CVS for a kitten in distress under the hood of a vehicle, police posted on their Facebook.
But every time the officers got the kitten, it would escape into the next car, right back into the engine.
"No doubt a future mechanic," the post said.
Sgt. Kevin Costa and Officer Tyler Ciaccio were finally able to help the kitten with an assist from a private citizen.
The kitten was taken to the Atlantic County Animal Shelter.
