Three people face charges after a shooting that wounded one of them led police to two handguns, including one reported stolen from Louisiana in 2016.
Jeffrey Luckett, 43, drove himself to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus at 12:28 a.m. April 30, with a gunshot wound, according to the report.
The Mays Landing man had been shot in the first block of South Bellevue Avenue.
Responding patrol officers and Violent Crimes Unit detectives found a handgun in Luckett's vehicle that was parked in the ambulance bay, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Jayce Thomas, 32, of Pleasantville, was identified as a person of interest.
Detectives Christopher Dodson and Alberto Valles found Thomas in the same block as the shooting at 3:35 p.m. May 10, Fair said.
Thomas was seen removing an object from his waistband as the detectives approached, and handing it to Terika Timberlake, according to the report.
Timberlake, 35, of Atlantic City, started to walk away. The detectives stopped her and found her with a stolen gun, Fair said.
Both were arrested and remain in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on weapon charges.
Last week, Thomas was served additional charges stemming from the shooting, Fair said. Tests conducted by the State Police Forensics Services Bureau linked the gun to the shooting.
Luckett was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon. He is not listed as being jailed.
Thomas and Timberlake both face weapons offenses, along with charges of receiving stolen property and possession of a weapon by a certain person, due to their criminal histories.
Thomas is additionally charged with two counts each of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
