Teen charged with vandalizing Pleasantville church

A teenager was charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly broke a Pleasantville church window.

Police were called to Mount Zion Baptist Church on South New Road for a broken window June 2, Capt. Stacey Schlachter said Wednesday.

When Officers Mathew Stricker and Jeffery Beras arrival, they found a broken window in the rear of the church, and a rock was located nearby, according to the report.

Witnesses identified 15-year-old boy, who was then charged, Schlachter said.

Complaints were forward to family court-juvenile part pending a hearing. 

This is not a suspected targeted incident.
