An Atlantic City man wanted in two assaults was arrested with a loaded handgun, police said.
Michael Rodriguez-Noyola, 19, is accused of assaulting a woman in the same residence on April 28 and June1, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Officer Bayron Zelaya-Chavez was in the area of California and Pacific avenues just before 8 p.m. Monday, when he spotted the suspect riding a bike, according to the report.
When the officer tried to stop him, Rodriguez-Noyola fled to the Boardwalk, Fair said.
He was taken into custody around Sovereign and Pacific avenues, and found with a loaded handgun, according to the report.
Two officers suffered minor injuries in the chase, Fair said.
Rodriguez-Noyola also had a terroristic threat charge from November, court records show.
He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on charges that include unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession of a defaced firearm, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and two counts of simple assault.
