Detectives are investigating the death of a woman in Somers Point that happened Saturday, the Atlantic County prosecutor confirmed.
Police were called to a residence in the 600 block of Third Street at 7:23 a.m. for the report of an individual suffering from a gunshot wound, Prosecutor Will Reynolds said.
They arrived to find a woman inside the residence who was ultimately pronounced dead, according to the report.
The investigation is ongoing.
There is no threat to the public.
No other details have been released.
