Man who fled after driving into EHT Home Depot turns himself in

  • Crime-Courts

A Galloway Township man who allegedly fled after driving his truck into the Egg Harbor Township Home Depot has turned himself in.

Joseph Kehoe, 36, crashed into the loading bay door of the store on Tower Avenue at about 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

The crash caused substantial damage, Lt. Brian Keane said. One person was injured.

Many in the store were shaken by the loud noise that one witness described as sounding like a bomb went off.

It appeared to be a deliberate act, according to the report.

Kehoe turned himself in to the Atlantic City Police Department.

Egg Harbor Township Officer Joseph Ricevuto led the investigation with help from Officer Pat Daly along with Atlantic City police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Kehoe is charged with multiple criminal offenses and motor vehicle violations, including aggravated assault and causing or risking widespread injury or damage.

He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
