This week started with nine new officers in the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Eric Scheffler swore in the new recruits Friday at the Criminal Courthouse in Mays Landing. They started their first day of training Monday.
They fill vacancies in the agency, he said.
All went through intense background investigations and physical fitness tests and
came through with flying colors," Scheffler said.
The new recruits, pictured above from left to right, are: Katie Rolik, Lauren Kromenacker, Nicholas George, Andrew Marcucci, Scheffler, Ryan Dalton, Sean Soder, Brooke Thomas, Alan Banaga and Alex Banaga.
