A Pleasantville man released from prison last month is back behind bars.
Antoyane McCall, 43, was allegedly seen holding a plastic bag of suspected cocaine while police were conducting surveillance in the first block of South Texas Avenue on Monday, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Detectives Christopher Dodson and Alberto Valles and Officers Troy Grams and Latray Butcher converged on McCall just before 11:30 a.m., as he put the suspected drugs in his pocket, according to the report.
The officers recovered the baggie along with suspected heroin, Fair said
McCall's vehicle was parked in the street, and wasn't registered, according to the charges.
Officer Adrian Nunez-Santos and his K-9 partner, Narco, were called to the scene.
Narco gave a positive indication for the presence of narcotics, Fair said.
A search of the vehicle revealed more than 18 grams of cocaine, 510 bags of heroin, less than two grams of fentanyl, 255 oxycodone pills and more than $10,000 in cash, along with paraphernalia used in the distribution of heroin and cocaine, according to the charges.
McCall was just released from prison April 19, after serving time for distributing drugs within a school zone, according to state Department of Corrections records.
He was originally released from prison Sept. 6, but it appears he was sent back after an apparent violation a month later.
McCall is now in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
