EHC man admits heading drug-trafficking network

  • News

An Egg Harbor City man pleaded guilty to being the leader of a drug-trafficking network.

Robert Strong, 32, was one of 30 people indicted in 2021 as part of a drug-trafficking ring.

The plea agreement calls for 15 years in prison with 7½ years before he is eligible for parole.

Strong has already served more than four years in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

He was released Thursday pending sentencing, which is scheduled for Sept. 28.

That date may be postponed as the plea is dependent on his co-defendants all pleading guilty.
