An Atlantic City man was arrested in a stabbing after police responded to a drug overdose.
A 29-year-old man was stabbed and robbed in the area of Texas and Atlantic avenues at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
The unnamed man was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for the injury, whcih was not considered life-threatening, police said.
An investigation led police to identify him as Jeffery Hill, according to the report.
Later that night, Officer Bayron Zelaya-Chavez responded to a home in the first block of South Bellevue Avenue for a medical emergency.
Hill, 58, was found unresponsive from an apparent overdose. He was revived and then arrested with help from Officer John Bell, police said.
Hill is charged with robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
He also had at least two outstanding warrants on summonses, according to court records. Hill was previously charged in separate incidents of trespassing and sleeping in a public place.
Hill is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
