A Philadelphia man wanted in the sexual assault of a Millville girl was arrested in North Carolina.
Aleem King, 35, used a ladder to get into the 13-year-old victim's window May 14, and then threatened her with a gun as he sexually assaulted her, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb McRae said.
A months-long investigation led to charges against King filed Aug. 11.
He was arrested in Greenville, N.C., on Oct. 19. He is currently in the Pitt County Detention Center in Greenville, awaiting extradition back to Cumberland County.
The state intends to file a motion to detain King, when he is in local custody.
He is charged with two counts each of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and second-degree sexual assault, along with burglary, weapon possession and endangering the welfare of a child.
