A former local news reporter is charged with possession of child sexual assault materials.
Cleve Bryan, 41, of Sewell, was arrested by Washington Township police Wednesday. He is in the Gloucester County jail.
Bryan's wife went to police after seeing him view sexually explicit photos and videos of what appeared to be prepubescent girls, according to the affidavit obtained by BreakingAC.
She turned over her husband's personal computer and hard drive, according to the report. A forensic examination found more than 100 items depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of a child.
Bryan worked for Channel 40 news before moving to CBS3 in Philadelphia. He was most recently senior specialist in communications for South Jersey Industries, which owns South Jersey Gas.
His employment there was terminated Wednesday, the company told BreakingAC in an email.
"We would fully cooperate with any law enforcement investigation or inquiry asked of us," the statement said.
Bryan, a father of four, also is listed as a coach for Washington Township's 8U baseball. An online request for comment there was not answered.
Bryan was released from jail Thursday.
