A Mays Landing man is jailed after he allegedly robbed a Virginia man Sunday.
Jaiden Figueroa, 19, faces eight charges including armed robbery, kidnapping and weapons offenses.
Hamilton Township police and Atlantic County SWAT found a .40-caliber handgun, large amount of heroin and proceeds from the robbery when they searched his home in the 4900 block of Cardiff Court on Monday, according to the report.
The 39-year-old victim was not injured, police said.
Figueroa appeared in court via video from the jail Tuesday, when he was told there would be a detention hearing Friday.
"When I was on the bracelet before, I don't miss court dates or nothing like that," he told the judge. "I don't know if it's a possibility for me to be able to go back on the bracelet."
Judge Joseph Levin then told him that his attorney could make those arguments at his detention hearing.
The judge told him a determination could be anything from release on his own recognizance to being detained.
Figueroa has a pending theft by unlawful taking case out of Hamilton Township from Dec. 2, court records show. It was unclear if he was on the bracelet for that release or if it was for a prior charge.
