A.C. man gets five years in Pleasantville armed robbery

  • News

An Atlantic City man who pleaded guilty to brandishing a gun during the robbery of a Pleasantville market was sentenced to five years in prison Thursday.

Rahmir Brown, 22, admitted in July that he was armed when he demanded money from a cashier at Joe's Food Market on Dec. 4, 2021.

He must serve 85 percent of his sentence, or 3½ years, before he is eligible for parole.

Brown already has served about a year and five months in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

He also was sentenced to a current five years for the gun charge.
