An Atlantic City woman is accused of luring a victim who was then robbed by a recently released convict with a history of robberies.
Police were called to the area of Ohio and Pacific avenues at 3:45 a.m. Friday for the report of a robbery, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
A 38-year-old Bronx man told police he was having a conversation with a woman, later identified as Mariah Gooden.
Gooden, 30, then led the unnamed victim to Kkyree Dunkerson, who acted as if he had a weapon in his waistband and demanded the victim's wallet, Fair said.
The man gave up the wallet, and the couple fled, according to the report.
Officers William Palmer, Edwin Maldonado and Bryan Victoria-Garcia found the pair on Michigan Avenue, where they both were in possession of a knife, Fair said.
Gooden also had cocaine and drug paraphernalia, according to the charges.
Dunkerson, 30, was just released from prison in February, after serving a five-year sentence for drug charges out of Atlantic County, with 18 months for a Burlington County theft-by-deception conviction, state Department of Corrections records show.
Dunkerson was arrested in 2018, after a shots fired call led to a hotel room with a large quantity of drugs.
Dunkerson also served prison time for two robbery with threat of bodily injury cases out of Burlington County in 2011, records show.
He was released from prison in those cases Aug. 23, 2017.
Dunkerson and Gooden are now charged with robbery, theft and weapons offenses.
Dunkerson is additionally charged with terroristic threats.
Gooden faces additional drug charges.
Both are in the Atlantic County Justice Facility awaiting detention hearings.
