A Pleasantville man on probation in a drug case is accused of brandishing a loaded handgun at a woman in Atlantic City.
Dante Cody, 26, was sentenced to two years' probation in March of last year in a drug case, court records show.
He was again arrested on distribution charges in Pleasantville five months later.
It appears he was then admitted to Recovery Court, according to court records that show he was due for his weekly check-in before Judge Jeffrey Waldman on Tuesday.
But Cody was arrested Monday, after police responded to a call to Route 30 at 6:39 p.m.
Cody allegedly damaged items inside the woman's home during an argument and then left, Lt. Kevin Fair said. The woman followed him onto Route 30, where he allegedly took the gun out of a bag and brandished it toward the victim.
Officer Bayron Zelaya-Chavez found Dante Cody walking along the roadway, Fair said.
Cody complied with the officer’s commands and was taken into custody.
He was found in possession of a loaded handgun and 36 grams of marijuana that was packaged for distribution, according to the report.
Cody is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of large-capacity magazine, terroristic threats, criminal mischief, possession of controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense.
He is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
