An Absecon man was released from jail after pleading guilty to stalking and cyber harassment.
John LeVance, 49, had been jailed since Dec. 24, court records show.
The case was sparked by LeVance's actions one day after he was sentenced to probation last June, for stalking the same victim in 2021, according to the charges.
The victim reported dozens of unwanted and obscene phone calls, texts, emails and social media contacts that continued until his arrest.
He pleaded guilty to the four-count indictment alleging third-degree stalking as a repeat offender, fourth-degree cyber harassment, along with contempt of court and invasion of privacy.
He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison. The plea is open, which means the sentence will be at the judge's discretion.
After LeVance pleaded Wednesday, Judge Jeffrey Wilson granted his release from the Atlantic County Justice Facility over the state's objection.
His sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 1.
