Two men were arrested and a gun and drugs recovered during surveillance in Atlantic City on Wednesday.
Detectives Christopher Dodson and James Barrett were in the first block of South Mansion Avenue when they saw two men engaged in what appeared to be a drug deal inside a parked vehicle, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Malik Jones had a warrant for his arrest out of Pennsylvania, which sparked the officers to converge on the vehicle, according to the report.
As the officers spoke with the men, they saw a digital scale on the center console. Both were taken into custody.
Camron Izzard, 25, of Philadelphia, was found with ecstasy, Fair said.
Jones, 40, of Atlantic City, allegedly had 18 grams of cocaine and 60 bags of heroin.
K-9 Officer Adrian Nunez-Santos was called with his partner, Narco, who gave a positive indication of drugs in the vehicle, Fair said.
Detectives then found a loaded handgun, six grams of cocaine, 104 grams of marijuana, numerous ecstasy pills and materials commonly used to produce and manufacture coctain.
Both were charged with weapons and drug offenses.
Jones was additionally charged as a fugitive from justice. It was not clear what his charges are out of Pennsylvania.
Both are in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
