A fugitive on the Atlantic County sheriff's "Most Wanted" list is being sought after a fire at his Egg Harbor Township home.
Cardiff and Bargaintown volunteer firefighters were called to the 3083 Ivins Ave. at 12:17 a.m. Wednesday for a fully involved structure fire.
A house and mobile home were both fully involved, according to the Cardiff company.
Bargaintown Assistant Chief Will Hancock assumed command and requested assistance from Scullville. Bargaintown Chief Gene Sharp later arrived and took over command.
Both structures were destroyed, according to the report.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by township police Detective Robert Harte and the Fire Inspections Bureau.
Prentiss Blaylock is known to reside on the property and is wanted for questioning, Capt. Cherie Burgan told BreakingAC. He is not currently a suspect in the fire.
The 36-year-old township resident has been wanted on charges including unlawful possession of a weapon, child abuse, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, resisting arrest and theft.
He is listed on the Atlantic County Sheriff's Office website.
Blaylock was tasered during an arrest attempt in the 2021.
Officers were called to the Ivins Avenue home Aug. 29, 2021, for a possibly armed man.
When they arrived, Blaylock was uncooperative and exhibited threatening behavior while armed with a handgun, police said at the time.
After an attempt to negotiate with him, a Taser was deployed, and he was taken into custody.
At that time, he also had a no-bail warrant for a domestic violence incident that took place in the township, and a warrant for fraud and theft by deception out of Gloucester County.
