  • News

Seven people were injured when a NJ Transit bus struck a light standard in an Egg Harbor Township parking lot.

Chrisffor Aime, 40, of Galloway Township, had just left the pick up area in the Harbor Square Complex when he struck a light standard near the rear of Boscov's, Capt. Cherie Burgan said.

Six passengers and the driver were on the bus at the time.

The driver and five passengers were taken to area hospitals by emergency medical services, Burgan said.

An investigation by Officer Thomas Rizzotte led Aime receiving a citation for careless driving.

The NJ Transit Authority, EMS from Egg Harbor Township, Northfield and Pleasantville, along with AtlantiCare ALS assisted at the scene.
