A Millville man was arrested in an assault that included the victim being stabbed.
Police were called to the Showboat in the 800 block of the Boardwalk at about 9 p.m., Capt. Kevin Fair said.
Officer Adrianna Petinga found a 25-year-old Bronx man suffering from a stab wound and bleeding heavily, according to the report.
Petinga applied a tourniquet and rendered immediate aid before the victim was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment of his injury, which was not considered life-threatening, Fair said.
The victim became involved in an altercation that led to numerous suspects assaulting him by punching, kicking and stabbing, an investigation found.
Marquise Cottman was arrested several hours later by Officer William Harned, Fair said.
Cottman, 20, is charged with aggravated assault.
He also had an active warrant out of Millville from March on charges include assault and unlawful possession of a weapon, court records show.
He was released on a summons.
The investigation is ongoing.
