An Atlantic City man faces nine years in prison after pleading guilty to drug and weapon charges Wednesday.
Earnest Carroll, 69, was arrested Nov. 19, 2022, after a car stop in Absecon.
Officers noticed a homemade billy club next to the driver's seat during the stop.
A search of the vehicle resulted in additional weapons, along with drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The weapons were not specified, but the original charges specify they were not firearms.
Carroll had been sentenced to Recovery Court about seven months before the arrest, according to court records. That stemmed from a heroin charge in 2021.
He is scheduled for sentencing Sept. 25.
Carroll had been jailed since his arrest. He was released Wednesday pending sentencing, jail records show.
