A man is believed to have killed his one-time girlfriend and then himself in a shooting in Vineland on Monday.
Police were called to Roosevelt Boulevard just after 6 p.m. for reports of shots fired, according to police.
They found a 21-year-old woman with the initials M.R. and a 22-year-old man with the initials JCS suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to the report.
Both were taken by helicopter to Cooper University Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
Autopsy results are pending. But the Initial investigation indicates the woman was shot by the man, who then shot himself.
The two were not married but previously were in a relationship, police said.
Their names are being withheld due to the privacy prohibitions on releasing information related to domestic violence matters.
Vineland police and the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
