13) May 18, 2024 - Kody Clemens ninth-inning home run

12) July 9, 2024 - Phillies clobber Dodgers, 10-1, in first game of series sweep

11) June 18, 2024 - Nick Castellanos walk-off double against Padres

10) June 24, 2024 - Phillies turn 1-3-5 triple play

One of the great things about baseball is that a player or team can make history at any moment.

That's exactly what happened on June 24 in Detroit, when the Phillies completed the first 1-3-5 triple play since 1929.

With the bases loaded in the third inning, former Phil Matt Vierling hit a liner to Aaron Nola, who threw the ball to Harper to double the runner off first base. The runner at third (Zach McKinstry) had bolted for home, so Harper threw the ball to Alec Bohm to complete one of the rarest plays in baseball.

"I don't know if it was the bat breaking, but [McKinstry] definitely thought the ball hit the ground," said Tigers manager A.J. Hinch. "He held up until Nola threw to first, and then he was sprinting home. He just misread the play."

"That was a pretty cool moment for all of us," said Harper. "It was like going back to Little League, we were so excited." At the plate, the first baseman hit a home run and two doubles, driving in five runs in an 8-1 Phillies victory.

Bohm collected four hits, including a first-inning home run.

The win pushed the Fightins' overall record to 52-26, a 108-win pace.
