Hubie Brown — one of the great treasures of the sports world — will call his final game in February, with the Sixers one of the two participants.

ESPN announced that Brown's final broadcast will come on Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. ET. He'll serve as the color commentator with Mike Breen on play-by-play for the Sixers vs. Milwaukee Bucks:

Brown — who was born in Hazleton — had a short-lived playing career in 1958-1959 with the Rochester Colonels in the Eastern Professional Basketball League. He began his coaching career in 1974-75 with the Kentucky Colonels of the ABA. He went on to coach the Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzles, winning NBA Coach of the Year in both 1978 and 2004. He's been at ESPN since 2004, where he's built a reputation as a no-nonsense game analyst, who has worked with Breen, Mike Tirico and Dave Pasch, among others.

At 91 years old, Brown can make a strong argument that he's defeated Father Time. Heck, he's probably the right age to run for the United States Senate.
