A GoFundMe has been set up to help Toby Natale.

Joseph and Tobias Natale were more than father and son, they were best friends.

Everything changed Monday, when the Somers Point pair was in a crash that killed 72-year-old Joseph Natale.

Tobias — known to loved ones as Toby — was badly injured, with at least one major operation in his future, according to a GoFundMe set up to help him.

The two were always close, but their bond became even stronger after the loss of the family's matriarch, Joseph's wife and Toby's mother, according to Amanda Pedano, who set up the fundraiser.

Toby Natale is newly engaged, and his fiancee has been by his side throughout this time, the GoFundMe states.

The money would be used for Toby Natale's medical bills, and funeral costs for his father.

"Adding to the chaos is the possibility of legal matters," Pedano wrote.

The other driver, Oriel Dixon, was under the influence when she crossed into oncoming traffic on Blackman Road in Egg Harbor Township, striking the car driven by the elder Natale, according to citations issued by police.

The crash remains under investigation. It was not clear if criminal charges would be filed against Dixon.

Ironically, a GoFundMe was set up for Dixon around this time last year, after she was in a crash in which another driver was drunk, according to the fundraiser created by her sister.

The single mom of four "was tragically struck on December 22nd at 7:30 pm by a drunk driver on her way to finish last minute Christmas shopping for her kids," Tiffany Ping wrote.

She said her sister had to undergo emergency "surgery for major internal bleeding of the liver."

A GoFundMe set up last year was to benefit Oriel Dixon after she was badly injured by a drunk driver, the fund states. She now is accused of being under the influence and causing a fatal crash with a child in her car.
