The NFL fined Jalen Hurts $5,628 this week for a violation of its Uniform and Equipment Rules. Hurts wore one midnight green cleat and one Kelly green cleat against the Steelers on Sunday.
"Specifically, you wore [a] shoe color that was not one of your Constitutional team colors" says a letter from the league to Hurts. "A player may wear shoes that are black, white, or any Constitutional team color, or any combination of black, white and a Constitutional team color."
The Jordan brand, manufacturer of the cleats, announced Friday that it would pay the fine:

Comically, the NFL hyped up Hurts' cleats on social media before fining him. (The league later deleted its post.)
🚨🚨WILD🚨🚨
On Sunday, the official NFL account promoted #Eagles QB Jalen Hurts wearing two different-colored cleats.
Today, the league fined Jalen over $5000 for wearing different-colored cleats.
