  • Crime-Courts

A call from a Galloway Township resident Friday morning led to a stolen vehicle and three teens charged, police said.

Police were called to the 100 block of Frankfurt Avenue at 10:33 a.m., by a resident who said a small white sedan hatchback pulled into her driveway, and one of the occupants got out and rummaged through the caller's unlocked car, according to the report.

The incident was captured on her Ring camera.

The vehicle matched one stolen out of Pleasantville.

While police were responding, the vehicle was seen speeding east on the White Horse Pike, according to the report. Police tried to stop it, but the driver refused.

The pursuit continued into Absecon, ending in Pleasantville, where the 15-year-old driver from Atlantic City crashed into another vehicle.

He and a 13-year-old boy from Atlantic City ran from the car, leaving a 14-year-old Egg Harbor Township girl behind.

The 13- and 14-year-olds were charged with several offenses, including joyriding and receiving stolen property, according to police.

The 13-year-old boy was additionally charged with resisting arrest by flight.  He was released on a home-monitoring device.

The driver was charged with numerous offenses, including receiving stolen property, eluding police, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and assault by auto, along with several motor vehicle offenses.
