Hamilton Township police said there is no danger to residence after a heavy police presence blocked Leah Lane on Wednesday.
The scene was reopened to local traffic by 6 p.m. A small police presence remained, police said.
Residents were warned to stay clear of the area, and not to approach law enforcement earlier in the afternoon.
The issue had been going for hours, a witness said.
School buses were diverted to avoid the area.
