The Atlantic County Division of Public Health is asking for input to help prioritize tackling the opioid epidemic.
The 10-questions survey runs through March 8.
Questions including ranking the top five actions that would help improve services, what prevents individuals from seeking services and the most critical needs in the area of mental health services.
The county welcomes any county resident, from those directly dealing with opioid use disorder to health care and social service providers.
The opioid epidemic has caused irreparable damage across our nation with the number of those who died from a drug overdose in 2021 more than six times of those lost in 1999.
Companies involved in the manufacturing, distribution and sale of opioids are now being court-ordered to pay for the damages they have inflicted.
New Jersey has been awarded more than $640 million in settlement funds from opioid makers and distributors. Atlantic County received nearly $600,000 in 2023, and established a committee of community partners to identify the best use of these funds.
