An Atlantic City man is in jail after a woman escaped his home where she and another victim were being held against their will, police said.
Police were called to the first block of North Georgia Avenue at about 9:12 a.m. New Year's Eve after the victim called police, according to the report.
Justin Williams, 39, was still inside with the second victim when police arrived, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Williams held both women at knife-point, threatening to kill them, according to the investigation.
He allegedly tried to throw one of the women out of a window, but was unsuccessful.
Williams knew both women, Fair said.
Police set up a perimeter outside the residence, and Williams eventually surrendered.
A large knife was recovered, Fair said.
One of the women was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment of injuries. The other refused medical attention.
Williams is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on two counts each of robbery and terroristic threats, three counts of aggravated assault, and one count each of criminal restraint, certain person not to possess a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and simple assault.
