Kyshawn Wyman has long said Atlantic City could be a hub for local musicians and entertainers.
Now his Hit Nation Empire is drawing major attention.
Wyman, who goes by IamYoungHitta, was recently named to the NYC Journal's "40 Under 40 Class of 2024," which calls the group "the brightest disruptors, thought leaders and experts in their industries."
"Wyman stands out as a visionary force reshaping the city’s cultural landscape," the news outlet wrote, calling him "a multifaceted virtuoso, serving as the CEO and Executive Director of the groundbreaking Hit Nation Empire reshaping the city’s narrative in ways previously unimagined.
He "is orchestrating a symphony of creativity and innovation (in) Atlantic City, where the rhythm of the Boardwalk meets the beats of resourcefulness," the write-up says.
Wyman, 31, started out as a DJ, but has extended his creations to other facets, including as the director of audio visuals and production for the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame and anchoring Showboat television.
He tells BreakingAC that he garnered attention with those following his social media posts.
"I share a lot of content of a lot of the various things I do," Wyman said. "Next thing I know, the kick off of the year 2024, a whole write up is in NYC Journal."
He is proud to represent his hometown on a larger stage.
"It was an amazing feeling to be highlighted for your hard work over the years," Wyman said. "Coming from a small place like Atlantic City it’s important to let the world know that we are here."
