Man gets 20 years in sexual exploitation of EHT child

A New Hampshire man was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison after he recorded sexual acts he had with an Egg Harbor Township 12-year-old.

Scott Wilkinson, 39, pleaded guilty in September to one count each of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child sexual abuse material.

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:

Wilkinson traveled to Egg Harbor Township in April 10, 2022, according to court documents.

He had been talking with the child online for about a year before traveling to Egg Harbor Township on April 10, 2022, according to court documents.

He then took video of them engaged in sexual acts inside his vehicle and uploaded them, the documents state.

A video that Wilkinson created was found on his cell phone, along with were other images and videos of child sexual abuse material.

In addition 240 months in federal prison, Wilkinson will also have 10 years of supervised release.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse, launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
