Dozens of children with autism and developmental disabilities enjoyed a morning of surfing with Margate and Longport first responders Saturday.
The Heart of Surfing event on Coolidge Avenue in Margate included Margate and Longport beach patrols and the Margate City Fire Department.
Heart of Surfing is a nonprofit organization that offers free surfing and skateboarding lessons for families with autism or other developmental disabilities.
