A Mays Landing motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday in Egg Harbor Township.
Jeremiah Saint Surin, 19, was riding his motorcycle eastbound on West Jersey Avenue at about 6:15 p.m., when the crash happened.
Germain Rahn, 38, was stopped northbound on Cates Road at the stop sign, waiting to cross when her Ford Explorer entered the intersection and was struck on the driver's side by Surin, Lt. Mark Mensch said.
Saint Surin suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus by Egg Harbor Township EMS. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, Mensch said.
Rahn had minor injuries from the airbag deployment, according to the report. Her passengers reported no injuries.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Egg Harbor Township EMS and AtlantiCare ALS assisted at the scene.
Officers Joseph Ricevuto and. Robert Moran, and Sgt. Ed Stearns are conducting the ongoing investigation.
Traffic was detoured for about four hours while the scene was being investigated and cleared.
