A couple is accused of having sex multiple times in front of a 6-year-old child while staying at a Somers Point hotel.
Kayla and David Lamb were released from jail last week, following separate detention hearings during which the state consented to release with conditions.
The Division of Child Protection and Permanency contacted the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office last week, after the girl reported that the couple had sex in front of her.
The couple's Facebook page lists them as living in Egg Harbor Township, but the charges against them list their address as the Avia on Mays Landing Road in Somers Point.
The girl was able to describe what the two looked like naked, and told the investigator that the Lambs had sex in front of her "all the time," according to the affidavit of probable cause obtained by BreakingAC
The girl also gave a narrative of the activity she witnessed.
"Am I allowed to say anything or I’ll just wait 'til next court date?" Kayla Lamb, 26, asked the judge during her hearing.
"Nothing you say is going to help you," Judge Christine Smith replied. "You’re getting released."
David Lamb, 33, did not speak at his hearing.
The couple reached out to BreakingAC to vigorously deny the charges, saying they were filed as retaliation and claiming the charges were dropped when they were released.
Court records show the charges are still pending, with the couple having a court date set for July.
"No one had sex in front of a child or did anything wrong," read the message sent from the couple's shared Facebook account. "We were released right away and no one has been charged."
The messages also demanded that the story reporting the charges be taken down.
