Atlantic City police are investigating a crash involving two of the department's marked cars.

The two cars crashed responding to the 100 block of Park Place for a suspect in a robbery that was possibly armed, according to the report.

During the robbery, the suspect grabbed his waistband to indicate that he was armed, Capt. Kevin Fair said.

The suspect was not located.

The cars crashed at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Pacific Avenue just before 6 p.m., according to the report.

After the initial impact, one of the vehicles struck a traffic control device that fell onto the roof of a third non-police vehicle. No one was injured in the third car, Fair said.
