  • News

A homeless man wanted in the attempted murder of an Atlantic City store employee was arrested in Vineland.

Francisco Bonilla, 34, is charged in the Feb. 3 stabbing at a store in the 100 block of North Rhode Island Avenue.

The 39-year-old victim who police did not name was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus with life-threatening injuries, Lt. Kevin Fair said.

Police released Bonilla's photo Feb. 16, saying he was wanted in the unprovoked attack being investigated by Detective Malik Tolber.

He was arrested in Vineland on Monday by members of the Vineland Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, Fair said.

Bonilla is also charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He is currently in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
