Stockton University is hosting a Women in Public Safety panel Thursday, featuring members from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The event held in honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day will be livestreamed via Zoom.
Representing the Prosecutor's Office will be Pretrial Unit Assistant Prosecutor Erika Halayko, Forensics Detective Erica Britko and Victim Witness Advocate Keri Roberts. Rounding out the panel is Chaka James, a family service specialist with the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
The panel will delve into the diverse roles women play in ensuring the safety and well being of the community.
The women will also share their unique perspectives and experiences in the field of public safety.
Each panelist represents a different facet of the justice system, from investigating crimes to providing crucial support to victims.
