Five people were arrested with guns within two weeks in Atlantic City, including two 15-year-old boys from the city, police said.
One of the teens was arrested Oct. 21, after Officer John Bell responded to the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue.
The teen was found with a loaded firearm, along with small amounts of heroin and cocaine, Capt. Kevin Fair said.
The boy's mother was also charged with allowing her son to violate curfew.
Three days later, Detectives Christopher Dodson, Eric Evans and Alberto Valles found a handgun equipped with a laser in a vehicle during a car stop in the area of Indiana and Logan avenues, according to the report.
The passenger, Okese Smith Jr., ran from the stop and was arrested. He was found in possession of 47 grams of marijuana, Fair said.
The driver, Tylee Adams, was arrested without incident.
Adams, 23, of Atlantic City, had a warrant for failure to appear in a simple assault case out of Galloway Township, court records show.
Both he and Smith, 31, of Pleasantville, were charged with the gun. Smith was additionally charged with drug offenses and resisting arrest.
Dodson, Evans and Valles along with Officer Zayon Pitts made another arrest Oct. 30, after receiving information of an armed male near Kentucky and Atlantic avenues, Fair said.
The detectives attempted to speak with the teen who fled on foot, according to the report.
The 15-year-old from Atlantic City was caught and taken into custody. He had a loaded handgun, 27 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia identifying himself as a gang member, Fair said.
Alexander Terrones-Santiago, 24, of Atlantic City, was arrested Nov. 3, during motor vehicle stop at Boston and Atlantic avenues.
Officer Albert Herbert stopped the unregistered vehicle and found Terrones-Santiago had a suspended license.
Herbert also found active warrants for Terrones-Santiago's arrest. Court records show they were related to criminal mischief and drug paraphernalia.
Before the vehicle was towed, Terrones-Santiago was given the opportunity to bring personal items with him, Fair said. He chose a backpack that was found to have a handgun and additional ammunition.
Additionally, a large knife and pump-action rifle were found under the driver’s seat, according to the report.
Both teens were taken to a juvenile detention facility.
Smith and Terrones-Santiago remain in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Adams bonded out, jail records show.
