An Egg Harbor Township woman died after being struck while crossing Tilton Road.
Anthony Celona, 55, of Hammonton, was traveling north on Tilton Road in the township when he struck the woman with his 2015 Ford F-150 just before 6 p.m. Monday, Lt. Larry Graham said.
Sharon Parker, 78, died at the scene.
The crash happened near Goldenrod Lane.
Traffic was detoured in the area for approximately 4 hours while the scene was being investigated. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Egg Harbor Township EMS and AtlantiCare ALS assisted at the scene.
The crash is being investigated by Sgt. Ed Stearns, and Officers Thomas Rizzotte, Cody Ng and Kevin Brady.
