Bryce Huff to Undergo Wrist Procedure

According to multiple reports. Eagles pass rusher Bryce Huff will undergo surgery on Thursday because of a left wrist injury he suffered in Week Nine of the NFL season.

It's unclear whether the Eagles will place Huff on injured reserve. If they do so, the earliest Huff could return would be Week 16 against the Commanders.

Huff, 26, injured the wrist during warmups before the Birds' November 3 game against the Jaguars. He played just six snaps against the Jags, then 26 snaps combined in his next two games (against the Cowboys and Commanders).

Huff has been wearing a cast to protect the wrist. Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio recently told reporters that the cast severely limits Huff's ability to play.

"He has a big cast on his hand," said Fangio. "It leaves his thumb totally immobilized and, really his palm is immobilized, so he just has four fingers just dangling there with no thumb or palm to help."

Eagles edge rushers Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith will likely see increased playing time while Huff is out. Brandon Grahm and Josh Sweat are the other healthy edge rushers on the roster. The Birds also have Tarron Jackson and David Anenih on the practice squad.

Huff signed a three-year, $51.1 million contract with the Eagles in March.
