  • Crime-Courts

A Philadelphia man was indicted Wednesday in a deadly shooting in Atlantic City.

Gregg Page, 34, is accused of killing Carley Elbert, 32, of Sewell, who was found unconscious and unresponsive early Aug. 1, on the jetty near the Flagship Resort at North Maine Avenue.

Kamille Steward, 29, of Pleasantville, was wounded.

Both women had been shot in the head. Page was arrested later that day.

Preliminary investigation revealed that both females appear to have been shot in the head, according to the Prosecutor's Office. The official cause and manner of Elbert’s death are pending an autopsy by the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

Surveillance video showed Page driving the victim's vehicle, according to the affidavit of probable cause previously reported by BreakingAC.

It does not specify where it was driven or if the vehicle belonged to Elbert or Stewart.

He is then picked up by brothers Ryan and Ramir Schenck, ages 30 and 27, in another car that fled to Philadelphia.

Page was indicted on charges of murder, attempted murder and weapons offenses. He remains in the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility in Philadelphia.

The Schenck brothers also were indicted for hindering apprehension.

Ramir Schenck is in the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center. Ryan Schenck was transferred out of the Philadelphia system, records show. But it was not clear where he is being held at this time.
