This is how the healing begins.

After a Phillies season ends in disappointment, as almost all of them do, most of us want nothing to do with the team for a while. Come spring training, we'll be back on the roller coaster. But there's a process that needs to unfold first. Step one was seeing the division-rival Mets get bounced from the postseason. 

The Dodgers sent the Mets home on Sunday night, and Phillies twitter was ready:

Good stuff.

Does any of this put the Phillies in the World Series or absolve their failure? Of course not. But a Mets championship would have been salt in Philadelphia's wound, and we've at least avoided that.
