Borgata announces 'enhancements' as Gypsy Bar closes this week

  • Jersey Shore

The Borgata has big plans as it announced the closing of its Gypsy Bar to make way for enhancements that include a "reimagined gaming experience."

“We couldn’t be more excited about this project as we look ahead to this next phase of Borgata’s evolution,” said Nik Rytterstrom, president & COO of Borgata. “These enhancements are not just about maintaining our position in the market – they’re about pushing the boundaries of what our guests can expect from a world-class gaming destination.”

The casino will bid farewell to its Gypsy Bar on Friday.

But that will make way for the new plans, including new designs to its 161,000 square feet of gaming space with what is being called "a contemporary touch."

The resort also will add to its culinary portfolio with a new Asian cuisine concept along with a newly crafted bar featuring a curated selection of rare liquors from around the world.

The upgrades are part of Borgata’s commitment to innovation and excellence, following a series of enhancements over the past year that include the newly revitalized Long Bar, an expanded outdoor pool, and the debut of the Overlook event space, the casino announced in a news release.

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is an MGM Resorts market-leading casino resort.

It includes 2,000 hotel rooms and suites, 106,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a 2,400-seat Event Center and 900-seat Music Box theater.
