Vineland's Pacheco on IR for Chiefs after injury vs Bengals

  • Sports

Vineland's favorite pro-football son will be off the field for a while.

Running back Isiah Pacheco suffered a fractured fibula Sunday, when his defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs squeaked out a win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

He is expected to undergo surgery and miss about six to eight weeks of the season, multiple outlets have reported.

In an attempt to fill the massive void, former Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt is set to visit his old team Tuesday, Adam Schefter reported.

Pacheco had an amazing first two years in the NFL, ending each with Super Bowl victory.

In  his Super Bowl debut, he was the team's leading rusher.

He was a big part of the defending champs' playoff run last year.

Kansas City's go-to running back had a rare fumble in the red zone against the San Francisco 49ers in the first quarter of the Super Bowl, but the Chiefs came out on top in what was just the championship's second overtime game.

Pacheco also earned fans off the field, with his "angry" running style garnering a plethora of memes.

Him dancing became the cover for "Swag Surfin'" on Spotify.
